Creating Sustainable and Affordable Housing Solutions
IDEAS HC is dedicated to developing innovative housing solutions to meet the needs of vulnerable communities whether permanent, temporary or transitional. Our initiatives are designed to provide safe, affordable, and energy-efficient housing that are specifically designed on a floorplan of our culture needs for Black and Indigenous populations in Canada, both in urban and rural areas to thrive.
While there is a housing shortage across Canada, we understand that challenges and barriers faced in order to create more supply in the housing chain. When it is not possible for various reasons IDEAS HC is dedicated to developing innovative strategies by applying through grant programs to gain access to needed wellness, social, educational, food security solutions to meet the needs of vulnerable communities.
Rapid Housing
IDEAS HC specializes in the rapid construction of affordable housing units to address the urgent housing needs of Black and Indigenous Communities. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable housing solutions that meet the unique requirements of each community, including investment in strategy implementation to build adequate housing in Northern & Remote Communities.
IDEAS HC Rapid Housing Demographic Priorities applies for latest grants and submits proposals to execute on a priority turnaround for building of affordable housing for vulnerable groups such as:

Energy Efficiency
We prioritize energy-efficient design and construction methods to ensure that the housing we create is environmentally friendly and cost-effective not only for Indigenous & Black Communities but for our surrounding communities.
IDEAS HC wants to be an active player and on board with the Government of Canada Climate Action Plan by doing our part in the communities we build infrastructure and services. By integrating innovative technologies and sustainable practices, we aim to reduce energy consumption, LEED Certification, minimize the environmental impact of our housing developments. and be a public participant in Canada's plan to reach Net-Zero by 2050
Mixed-Use Developments
IDEAS HC is dedicated to developing mixed-use communities that incorporate essential services such as early learning child care centers and community centers.
IDEAS HC is proud of our investment in devised community meetings to create a tailored living experience that will build each other up. By integrating these facilities within our housing projects, we aim to create vibrant and inclusive communities that cater to the needs of residents and neighbourhood.


NEW! Temporary Warming & Cooling Shelters/Stations
Big Companies & Big Hearts, Doing Their Part!
In response to the urgent need for shelter during harsh weather conditions, IDEAS HC is actively involved in establishing temporary warming & cooling stations within vulnerable Canadian communities.
To address the needs of the public, our demographic clientele is not only the unhoused. Our partnership pilot project is picking up trends for those looking for a break from Mother Natures thrones.

In 2025, IDEAS HC is an emerging as a new leader through innovation to encourage use of vacant office spaces, pop-tents, water-stations, our own pet-friendly mobile Wi-Fi access spots.
These "short-term, day-use/sunset-down" stations provide a safe environment for families, individuals who may not have access to adequate or restricted electrical appliances during harsh weather conditions or those facing homelessness, offering essential support during challenging times.
As these stations are sporadic and temporary we greatly rely on the partnership through donation of a space and heartfelt compassion and understanding of our communities to make this possible.
Rural Accessibility
We are committed to expanding accessibility to affordable housing in rural communities across Canada.
While Northern Communities present its own economical & social challenges, people still have the right to stay where they are rooted.
IDEAS HC works closely with local stakeholders, Indigenous Consultation to identify and address the unique housing challenges faced by remote and rural populations, ensuring that everyone has access to safe climate conditions and secure housing options.


Community Centers
IDEAS HC actively collaborates in the development of community centers that serve as hubs for social, educational, and recreational activities. These centers play a vital role in fostering community engagement and providing essential resources to enhance the well-being of residents.
Not-for-Profit Housing
As a not-for-profit housing organization, IDEAS HC is dedicated to addressing housing inequality and promoting social equity. Our focus on creating affordable housing options for Black and Indigenous Communities reflects our commitment to driving positive social impact and supporting marginalized populations.


Indigenous & Black Led Initiatives
In Canada as we are experiencing a national housing crisis, many Black and Indigenous communities feel that they are at a great disadvantage of not only securing affordable housing but also obtaining access to essential services in highly dense and remote areas. As a Black & Indigenous Led non profit organization we heard and see our peoples needs. IDEAS HC is proud to lead initiatives focused on the construction and retrofitting of new affordable housing for Indigenous and Black Communities in rural, urban, on, and off Reserves in Canada. Through our collaborative efforts, we strive to empower these communities by providing access to safe, dignified, and culturally appropriate housing solutions.
